Nail equipment warranties and returns
Warranty terms nail equipment makers state, where their own pages conflict, and how returns differ between brand stores, Amazon sellers and AliExpress.
Short answer
Two things decide what happens if a nail drill, lamp or collector fails: the maker's warranty and who sold it to you. Warranty terms we found run from about six months to five years, and some makers' own pages disagree with each other, so save a copy of the terms on the day you buy. Buy from the brand or a seller the brand names: Medicool's warranty, for example, excludes products bought from unauthorized resellers.[1]

Where a maker's pages conflict, as SUNUV's and MelodySusie's do, ask the maker in writing which terms apply to your order, and keep the reply.
Who you bought from changes the rules
The brand's own store. Medicool's direct store accepts returns within 30 days of purchase for unused items in original packaging, with an RMA number.[1] MelodySusie's warranty and return terms cover melodysusie.com and its "MelodySusie Direct" store on Amazon; purchases from its authorized resellers go to those resellers.[10]
Amazon. Amazon says most items sold on Amazon.com can be returned within 30 days of delivery in original or unused condition, with exceptions shown on the product page.[14] When a third-party seller fulfills its own inventory, returns go to that seller rather than to Amazon.[15] Amazon's A-to-z Guarantee covers delivery and condition of items sold and fulfilled by third-party sellers, with claims made to Amazon, subject to eligibility conditions.[16]
AliExpress. AliExpress's Free Return terms apply only to items with a "Free Return" label, and allow a return request within 15 calendar days of confirmed receipt, opened as a dispute.[17] We found no brand-confirmed AliExpress store for the nail brands we checked, so a maker's warranty may not follow an AliExpress purchase.
Before you buy
- Save the warranty and return terms from the maker's site and the listing, with the date.
- Check the seller. On Amazon, read "Ships from" and "Sold by"; look for Amazon.com or a seller the brand names. See checking nail equipment sellers.
- Buy the right voltage. Medicool's warranty excludes damage from incorrect voltage or power adapters.[1] See 120 V nail equipment.
- Keep the box and packaging until the return window closes; Medicool's direct returns require original packaging.[1]

SUNUV's current product pages show a 2-year warranty and 60-day returns, but its FAQ still says 12 months and 30 days. Ask SUNUV which applies to your order.[7][8]
Can I return a nail lamp bought on Amazon?
Amazon says most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery in original or unused condition, with exceptions on the product page. If a third-party seller fulfilled the order, the return goes to that seller.[14][15]
How do AliExpress returns work for nail equipment?
