Two bits with the shank size stated by the maker
These are two single bits, not sets. We list them because MelodySusie states on its own site that all of its nail drill bits are 3/32 inch, the size it calls the industry standard,[1] and because when we checked the listings on October 7, 2026, both showed "MELODYSUSIE Direct" as the Amazon seller. That is the store MelodySusie names in its own warranty and return terms.[2] The seller can vary by delivery address, so check it yourself. They fit a handpiece whose maker states a 3/32-inch chuck.
Two picks is a short list on purpose. Bit sets and other brands' bits we looked at did not yet have a seller we could tie to the brand, so we left them out rather than fill the page.
Safety bit for surface and gel work
MelodySusie safety bit, smooth round-top large barrel (tungsten carbide, cross cut)
Pick it if: Handpieces with a maker-stated 3/32-inch chuck; users learning surface work
- Why it's here
- A large barrel bit with a smooth, rounded top, in cross-cut tungsten carbide per the listing. MelodySusie states all its bits are 3/32 inch, and the Amazon seller shown when we checked was MELODYSUSIE Direct, the store MelodySusie names in its warranty terms.
- Watch out
- The listing equates 3/32 inch with 2.35 mm, which is not exact (3/32 inch is 2.38 mm). Grit names are MelodySusie's own scale. Choose the Fine, rose gold variant; other grits are separate listings. On Amazon, check that 'Ships from / Sold by' shows Amazon.com or MELODYSUSIE Direct before you buy.

Multi-purpose carbide bit
MelodySusie professional 5-in-1 bit (tungsten carbide, cross cut)
Pick it if: Trained users shaping and removing product with a 3/32-inch handpiece
- Why it's here
- A 5-in-1 cross-cut tungsten carbide bit from the same maker, with the same maker-stated 3/32-inch shank and the same brand-named Amazon seller when we checked.
- Watch out
- Two-way rotation is the listing's claim, not a maker spec we confirmed. A sharp, aggressive shape like this needs training to use on a client. Choose the Fine, purple variant. On Amazon, check that 'Ships from / Sold by' shows Amazon.com or MELODYSUSIE Direct before you buy.

Check your handpiece first
- Go by your handpiece maker's stated size. KUPA, Medicool and MelodySusie all state 3/32 inch for their bits or handpieces.[3][4][1] If your drill's manual says something else, follow the manual.
- Ignore "3/32 (2.35 mm)" equations. The MelodySusie listings write 3/32" as 2.35 mm, but 3/32 inch is exactly 2.38125 mm.[5] We found no maker statement that bits labeled 2.35 mm and 3/32 inch are interchangeable in every handpiece. See 3/32 vs 2.35 mm nail drill bits.
- A 3/32 label does not guarantee fit in every machine. Medicool, for example, says its own 5-in-1 carbide bits do not work with some of its vacuum file machines.[6] If you use a vacuum or pen-style file, check its maker's bit list.
Grit and direction
- Grit names are MelodySusie's own scale. "Fine" on one brand's bit is not a standard grade, so compare grits within one brand only.
- Two-way rotation is the listing's claim for the 5-in-1 bit. Medicool designs its own 5-in-1 carbide bit to cut in both directions for right- and left-handed techs,[6] but that is Medicool's design, not a statement about MelodySusie's. See forward and reverse on a nail drill.
- Carbide wears. Medicool estimates carbide bits last about 2-4 months in daily professional use.[4] That is Medicool's estimate for its own bits, not a standard, and home use will differ.
